Program Manager, Boston University
Ilse Damkoehler is a Program Manager at Boston University Study Abroad. As a program manager, Ilse is responsible for the management and administration of Boston University Study Abroad programs in Argentina, Ecuador, Italy, San Francisco, and Switzerland. Her responsibilities include recruitment of applicants, processing of application materials, responding to program inquiries and issues, and planning pre-departure and reentry services. Before joining BU Study Abroad, Ilse worked at Emerson College, where she advised students on semester and faculty-led study abroad programs, provided immigration advising and support to international students, and assisted with campus-wide internationalization efforts. Ilse also served as a Co-Chair for the New England Lessons from Abroad Returnee Conference from 2015-2018. Ilse has a BS in Business Administration and Spanish from Worcester State University and an MA in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute.
Institutional Relations Manager, CAPA The Global Education Network
Alisia is the Institutional Relations Manager for NY, NJ, TX, NM, OK, KS, NE with CAPA The Global Education Network. She works with colleges and universities in her region to build partnerships and design custom program opportunities with faculty. Prior to working in Institutional Relations, she worked as a Program Manager at CAPA. She was responsible for advising students on all CAPA Global Cities Programs in Buenos Aires, Dublin, Florence, London, Shanghai, and Sydney. She collaborated with colleges and universities to coordinate the application process, pre-departure advising and crisis management while students are abroad.
Alisia holds a master’s degree in College Student Services Administration from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and her undergraduate degree is in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego. She served as the Marketing Chair for the Spring 2017 New England Study Abroad Returnee Conference and currently serves as the Co-Chair for the Boston Area Study Abroad Association, previously serving as the Social Media Chair. Her passion for international education began with her internship abroad with CAPA in London and she spent time as an Au Pair in Wroclaw, Poland.
Coordinator, Center for Global Education at Simmons College
Mary M. Pyne is the Coordinator of the Center for Global Education at Simmons College. In her role, she advises Study Abroad students and serves as a DSO, supporting International Students in all parts of their Simmons experience. Mary has lived, worked and studied in Ukraine, Argentina, and Ireland. She holds an M.A. in International Higher Education and Intercultural Relations from Lesley University, as well as a dual B.A in International Studies in Politics and Policy in the Global Economy, and Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies, with a Certificate in European Studies from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
