Lea Girasole
University Relations Manager, EUSA Academic Internship Experts


As a University Relations Manager, Lea works with colleges and universities throughout the US to build partnerships and design summer and semester internship programs in Europe. Prior to joining the EUSA team and moving to Boston in 2018, Lea worked as a Study Abroad Program Specialist at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. In addition to advising students, she oversaw the course petition process, advised departments on study abroad program development, managed the online application system for SMU Abroad and organized study abroad pre-departure orientations. Lea received her a M.A. in Dispute Resolution, with a concentration in International Dispute Resolution, from SMU and her B.A. in International Studies from University of North Texas. She was fortunate enough to live abroad as a child in Japan and, throughout her studies, to study abroad in Morocco and Switzerland and intern in Cambodia.

Alyssa MacNeill
Faculty-Led Program Advisor, Center for Global Education at Wheaton College


Alyssa is the Faculty-led Program Advisor in the Center for Global Education at Wheaton College. In her role, she works closely with faculty and advises all students on Wheaton’s faculty-led program options. She facilitates the application process and manages all of the logistics including financial aid, travel arrangements, travel accounting, etc. Alyssa also oversees the Peer Advisor program for returned study abroad students. She has worked at Wheaton College since August 2015, and transitioned to her current role in July 2019.  Prior to working at Wheaton, she did the Teaching Assistant Program in France, living and teaching English to elementary students in Le Mans. She studied abroad for a semester in Nantes, France and another semester in Madagascar.

Grace Twardy
Program Manager at Boston University Study Abroad


Grace Twardy is a Program Manager at Boston University Study Abroad. She is responsible for managing a portfolio of programs and exchanges in Grenoble, Madrid, Paris, and Prague. Among other responsibilities, she assists in recruitment, manages pre-departure programming, and liaises with site staff overseas. Previously, she worked at College Year in Athens (CYA) as the advisor for their programs in Greece, and before that, she worked at CIEE for their Institutional Relations team recruiting students to study abroad at colleges and universities across the Northeast. Grace has been involved with Lessons from Abroad and the Fund for Education Abroad the past few years, and she has loved being a part of the BASAA community. Grace holds a B.A. in Global Studies & Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies from Providence College, and during her time there, she spent a semester studying abroad in Seville and led a global service-learning course to Nicaragua.
